Anyone seen one of these before? Looks pretty nice!

(From expired listing...). Even with one speaker I could've probably come up with something better than stock anyway. :-D

And it had free shipping too. It had been listed before previously but no one bid, so it basically went for what it would ship for.

It would be pretty easy to match up some thrifty speakers and make it look whole. I did that with my Sears SR2198 box as the original speakers were craptacular.

Plus, the gray plastic main body and speaker cabinets had turned that ugly greenish color from age and cigarette smoke.

I almost jumped on this because I like mid sized boxes myself. I actually have a set of JVC boxes I could have used for it. Next time I guess.

I don't understand how people take their speakers off the main section and then "Loose one" :dunce: :hmmm: :bang:

"oh, I forgot a speaker some place?, oh well, I will just continue on without it"

I have a Lasonic 398 missing a speaker. I still have hope! :w00t:

Works great for wooden speakers, but what do you do with plastic molded speakers?

That's just it. I'd store the original and make some wood cabinets for or hopefully get the whole shootin' match that fits. Then I'd change out the drivers and add a small crossover. The way the speakers attach to this are easier than the 2198 as small angled metal attached to the sides would work to slide it on similar to others and hold tight to the main body.

Might need to try to make some speakers at some point out of wood ;)

I asked him for the dimensions of the battery door because the layout of the box reminded me of the Panasonic RX-C100. Doesn't fit, LOL

Of all my boomers I have only 1 that is missing a speaker!! It's the right speaker on
My JVC PC-XT3.
I thought I had it when I bought it but I'm still looking.😮

We'll have to see how this develops once I can get some dimensions on the unit. Hopefully I could locate son small system speakers from the 80's with unique covers not boom box related. This way, it won't be attached to another boomer brand. :-)

I'll do some measuring and get back to you, thanks Floyd.
I still have 2 areas to look because I swore this thing had 2 speakers, when I boxed it up for storage only the main unit and 1 speaker would fit.😐
