Hi everyone-I hope I don't offend to many people here but here it goes.
Headphones are for people that well-live near or live with "old people"!!
The only good headphone is one with the resistor removed!!! :-P I did a post about this on s2go a while ago.
I'm sorry but boomboxes are made with nice speakers and are made to boom!
Now if your out in public and have an I-pod or MP3 player or little device-YOUR EXCUSED!!
Sorry-but I've never liked them other than for where there's lots of people around and you don't want to offend people listening to your disco music!! But if it's a boombox-please no headphones!! :-O
Have a good one-GB. :-) :-D  :-P :-O

Personal choice my friend. :-D
I rarely ever use headphones with boomboxes because that's not what they were designed for so I agree with you there however, I don't knock anybody for choosing to use headphones with a boomer. I may make fun of them and even laugh at them but I also respect their choice to do so.

Sorry guys-I know this was a very opinionated post,so I'm sorry if I offended anyone-I just don't use them-it reminds me of living at home in my teenage years. :-O
My dad didn't like the booming from downstairs from my state of the art Packard Bell console with 8 speakers!! It had rca's for line in and out to!! Ran a Sankyo cassette deck through it and then my GF-8989II and then the venerable JVC-PC55JW!!
Man I loved that console-gotta get another one someday!!
Have a super weeekend-GB. :-)

I'm not offended at all GB, it's a harmless opinion. I do listen to headphones sometimes on my home rig but it's not for pounding beats it's for softer relaxing sounds. My headphone of choice after a lot of experimentation is the Sennheiser HD650 which can sound great with pounding but if I want to hear that I unplug the headphones and turn it up. :-D
