There is a seller on eBay named icedmelon702, located in South Korea selling radio parts, speaker grills, speakers, handles, battery doors and a few full radios.

Has anyone ever bought from them?

I did. Had to file eBay claim. Return shipping (with tracking) would've costed more than any refund. Basically I got a partial but lost $250. I won't ever buy from him again. Item was misrepresented, and sneaky hack repairs were present. Its only good for parts.

I bought a tape door from an M70. It was as described and that was clear from the pictures.
Id be wary of buying anything with circuitry or a full radio though given the above comments.......

I bought three antennas and some M70 parts. The antennas are too thin for a boombox - they're more walkie-talkie like - but the M70 parts are OK. The shipping was a little high but he worked with me on it because I purchased multiple items.

Based upon comments here, I don't think I would buy a box from him though.

Go!

I've had aerials from him, one a perfect fit on my National RS460SD, a pair for a JVC and some M70 spares for a member's box, he sent these bits in the cabinet as he figured that was safer than packing separately yet didn't charge a single penny over with the result that I was able to supply another member with an M70 cabinet to rebuild theirs, which was full of bullet holes.

The only thing that wasn't 100% as described was an aerial for a Hacker SP80 where he'd neglected to mention that the knuckle didn't retract inside the lowest section, so it would have worked but wouldn't have been able to vanish inside the cabinet as per the original, he refunded within that day, instructed me to keep the aerial anyway and somehow managed to find a source of the original types although these boxes were only ever sold officially in the UK, the RoI, The IoM and the CIs.

If he does let me down with bits, then I'll say as much but bless him he did come up with M70 parts that nobody on the forum was willing to supply, parts that are installed and working. Same with the aerials for thae other jobs.

Had 4 separate orders from him and it's been fine. He's even open to negotiation and has kept an eye out for parts for me even if he's put of stock.
I've had no problems with this seller.

Bought antennas no problem. Got my MX 650 door from him. Quick delivery. Hassle free. One of the top guys for parts.

Hard to mess up or misrepresent parts. I bought a $500 BOOMBOX. The door was broken & rigged with soft copper household wire, and was crooked. The deck did not work nor did the BOOMBOX. All was represented as working good. Worse thing was the 4" square hole on the bottom. It was perfectly square and the edges of the hole has patterns consistent with saw. He insists maybe damaged in shipping, wanted me to file claim.... Wtf??? Anyhow, I would've just returned it but eBay said I had to ship it back to Korea and obtain signature confirmation. Any one have any idea how much that costs? I'll never buy from him again, but if it's just parts, the risks are much smaller.

I bought a M70 part from them and it was just as described. No issues here.....it was just a part though.

I purchased a couple of M70 parts from him recently and he quickly got back to me on a reduced/combined shipping rate, and packed each part individually in bubble wrap. A bit excessive given what they were but still very much appreciated.

Bought the J1 woofers from him that are now in my Fisher. They look and sound great after painting them. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1412556081.066585.jpg

Looks beautiful - did it make a huge improvement in bass?
I doubt it. The Fisher is a ported speaker design. Hard to match that speaker without some bass loss.....

I just bought some bits off him, he's great to communicate with and seems really polite and was eager to help. Seems legit to me

Never read this thread before.

I also got some parts from him last spring, I think it was. 777z aerial, battery door, etc. Nothing large so the pics were enough. Packed nicely in bubble wrap. Everything was in great shape and I was able to complete a 767.

Had I seen Norm's post, I would not have sent him a dime. If all he has to do is slip one box through, and that makes up for a lot of so-called "good" deals. He makes a heck of a profit that way. All this good feedback just overwhelms Norm's bad and keeps his feedback % nice and high.

This guy has branched out. He used to have only a couple of items for sale at any one time. Now he has over 400!

He still owes Norm some money. I don't think I'll be sending any more business his way.
