I was wondering what boxes you all think make great for parties, but based on an overall of these four factors:
1. Sound
2, Looks
3. Least likely to be destroyed be drunken bafoons.
4. Wouldn't be a big deal if it was damaged a little.
The third and fourth I consider very important for parties, I know some of you are say... a little older, more "mature,"
. But the people at the parties I go to, are a little more careless, and probably think of a boombox is a dimestore pickup.
Now for me, I only have the three choices, my 1st & 2nd Gen 931's, and my M70, which I'm almost done with.
Now I know the 931 is a looker, sounds pretty good, but can be pretty fragile, and hard to find one that's not already got problems....
Where my M70, which I'm finally testing, sounds great, looks clean, and seems built a lot better, but quite a bit more spendy to replace.
