I think you should go there so often it feels like home :-D
People throw this type of thing away more than you think! Befriend the staff there and update them on the fact that these things are rare and invaluable. Even if it means you have to pay what they ask, it's better than them ending up 6 feet under. :-)

I think the staff are pretty switched onto it, they always have one or two crappy boxes.

Unfortunately my tip shop is in a trendy area, so it's always full of people who snap up the good stuff!

Same here. The good stuff rarely ever sees the shelf. Just the crappy eggs now :'-(

ive got to ask you how does the marantz sound?ive got the teleton version and im with you that these things are massive,i mean gf777 size in length (plus a bit) and three quarters the height of a 777 ;-) i love my teleton,its shy of bass at low volumes but get it past 4 and things dramatically improve-would love this marantz my self though :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool:
