Summer is the perfect time to add something new (or old) to my collection.
That's how I found this model of the
JVC RC-EZ35SB
In addition to the cosmetic issues, there are also technical problems.
The CD player does not work, the cassette deck needs new belts and gears,
the volume and mode buttons also do not work well.
The repair started well, but at one point things went wrong and one of the boards shorted out.
The restoration failed and I had to make an important decision about what to do with this JVC:
Either give it for recycling or modify it completely.
I had a small active subwoofer, but without the speakers for it.
I removed the CD mechanism from the JVC and installed the subwoofer and the board for it in its place.
I also connected the JVC speakers to it and the system became operational.
I connect an external music player (phone) and can listen to music.
Since I decided it wouldn't stay at home, I took it to some relatives of mine,
whom I visit during the summer. That way they can use it too if they want.
