Hey Guys,

I'm going camping for the next 7 days, Sunday to Sunday for 4th of July week. I'm dialed in with radio's and ready to party. I'm going to a group camp space with about 20 other people down by the beach. Was 106 degree's F today here where I live and I'm ready to get to some cooler weather out at the beach. It was only 72 at the beach today!

As you can see, I'm ready to go, with 20 brand new Duracell's.

Stay cool Chris, plenty of water and lots of sunscreen.

(don't you guys have AC in America?)

Oh and pump the volume on that Sharp. After all you have a spare set of coppertops, go wild!

Yeah, we got AC, but I still had to wash the camper, load the last of the gear and check all vitals.

I have one set of Coppertop's for the Sharp and one set for the Lasonic! I would hate to have to actually swap the batteries back and forth...we're not Neanderthal's! I also bought a new 9V for the digital clock memory on the 935! Going on in!

Yeah, that would be really BAD! I just have to remember that rack is there, I can't see it :sadno:

Have a good vacay, and be careful with those batteries their worth about 300 bucks!
 Yeah, that's a lot of money for batteries. I also have a full set of 10 Energizer rechargeables and a set of 10 Everyready D's that I got at the $0.99 store (2 pack for $0.99). I will NOT be running out of batteries!

I will be committing Mass Battricide (The Killing of Batteries) this week! :-D

8-packs are cheaper... :pimp:
Yeah, but the wife had some coupon thing on her phone for the supermarket she goes too. I think they were $5.60 for 4 which is a pretty good price! But it's still $30. Plus the D's from the $0.99 store and I got $35 in batteries (not to mention the rechargeables)

You got it bro! I will not have cell or computer access (I don't think), but if I do, I'll get some posted...If not, when I return!

I hope all the US Americans have a great Independence Day!

Hey Guys....I made it back alive! WOW....what an adventure. It was so damn hot when we left, but at the beach it was in the low 70's the whole time. But I'm worn out. I need a vacation from my vacation!

Although I knew a lot of the people in this group, I had never camped with them before nor had I known where we would be camping. As it turned out, it was the best case scenario for BLASTING!

A few months ago there was a massive 16,000 acre fire and unfortunately, it burned up our campground as you will see in the pictures, but no big deal.

The good news was, no one else brought a radio! :w00t:  So it was up to me to deliver the goods.

The other good news was, we were in a group camping spot, in a canyon, with no other campers ANYWHERE

Needless to say....I WENT OFF :dj-party:
The Lasonic TRC-935 was the showstopper. One set of 10 D cell's were no problem at all and I never ran out of juice. The 9v battery is still providing the clock with memory and it was a great feature to have the whole trip. At night the 935 was on a shelf next to my bed and at night I could just push the button and check the time. Even the wife was using it to check the time :-D

I lit up the campground all day long while games of horseshoes were being played. Never had a problem. All my repairs tightening up the case and handle were well worth it. Came home no problems! I had this bad boy running at 2/3 max volume the whole trip. Outside this radio shines BIG TIME! People singing, dancing, laughing and partying.

At night, we cooled things off with the Sharp GF-9090 and with it's tuner light and battery meter, it was spot on all week long!

It was so nice to just lay around, passout in the middle of the day and get hammered at will :beer2: :newyear: :weed:
I did some of this... :fly-kite:
and this...

and this... :drunk:

and this... :gathering:

90 beers, 1 bottle of champagne, many shots of tequila, many gin and tonic's and lots of BLASTING!

I wish I never had to come home...

Anyway....on with the pictures....

Oh I know, and you know what's funny, when I took that picture I thought to myself "someones gonna give me hell over that".

AND RIGHTFULLY SO!

 My Ex wife got burned real bad by one of those stoves. While in front of it cooking the valve in front burst and flames blew out of it on her whole hip and top part of leg. We tried to sue Coleman but got screwed because instead of talking to lawyer first we sent stove to Coleman so they could check it over then they dumped the evidence. All we got was a free stove
