GF5757 auto stop

Help get this sharp out my workshop …
GF5757 , auto stop is stuck on , I am told it’s a common fault , someone out there must have come across this
The two micro switches in the pic don’t affect it , the black wedge between the heads seems solid and unmoving and I thought it was the auto stop sensor ?!

I've never worked on one of these but that does look like it can be an auto stop mechanism between the heads.
It might not be able to be depressed unless it's in play.
Try pressing on it while in play and see if it moves.
If it does, you can try backtracking it.

Thanks bud all sorted , in play the sensor was still Rigid , as with so many issues a bit a switch cleaner and lube saved the day and running like a champ
