gf-9090x problem

Hey everybody,
I have a really weird problem with this one.
The axle/roller are spinning normally but the axle can't spin the running wheel which rolls the reel wheel with enough force.The axle/roller just pulls the tape out of the cassette.I thought there was something wrong with the reel wheel and removed it but still the running wheel barely moves.Maybe it needs more of this sticky unguent covering the axle and the two wheels,whats the name of this grippy substance. The spring is strong and pulls the running wheel all the way to full lock,even pushing the wheel didn't help much. Please HELP!

Hi there,

On the flywheel/spindle there should be a rubber piece that then comes into contact with the wheel you are pointing at. That rubber peice is notoriusly bad for turning to goo or disintegrating.
You can use a piece of RC fuel line from ebay on there tro restore the movement.
Ther are numerous posts and pics on the forum about it if you have a quick search.

If you can't get rc stuff I just used some wire insulation...earth wire sleeving inside a usb lead sleeving worked out to be a perfect match...I just experimented with whatever I had lying around
