Not sure what you’re going to listen to while wooing someone special tonight? De La Soul is here to make that decision for you. In honor of the 25th anniversary of the trio’s debut album, 3 Feet High And Rising, and for 25 hours only (until tomorrow at 11 a.m.), the sample fiends are making their entire studio discography available for free download.

I got the confirmation email straight away, but the download links took about an hour to arrive in my inbox.

 Ta for the heads up! I have no idea what they mean by this though:
If you use Gmail you may need to check your "Promotions" tab.
I use gmail for the address but not with their client but don't have such a thing. I wonder whether creating one in T-bird would have the same effect or do they send the confirmation link through regardless? :hmmm:

Thanks again for the link. The late Mrs & self used to listen to this sort of gear whenever we wanted to chill after a hellish week at work.

There is freeware you can use such as 7zip and others. I also believe there is a freeware version of WinZip available as well to unzip files... :-)

Oh boy. You're speakin either Gibberish or German...either way, I don't speak your language. I download some music...it should play. Right? Ha. I am not computer literate. Couple more beers and I'll figure it out.

I think we can still help... ;-)
I saved all seven LPs to my dropbox and unzipped from there into the music library on this laptop so could - assuming that it doesn't contravene MCPS regs or the equivalent IP rights legislation in any other country - post the URL of the dropbox folder they're at and make it public for a user group of forum members. The total download size is around 600MB including the art and the discography.

Wait a minute. did you say ALL 7 albums? I thought it was just for the 3 feet high and rising album!! :bang:

Yes, I said seven. I did wonder when you said that you had it on tape.....

Seven albums:

3 feet high - 161.8MB
AOI - 160.3MB
AOI-Bionix - 133.1MB
Buhloone Mindstate - 116.2MB
De-La-Soul-is-dead - 177.1MB
Remixes Rarities Instrumentals - 548.4MB (76 tracks in this one!)
Stakes-is-High - 164.3MB

Did I say earlier that the whole download was only 600MB? Oops! Seems I got that badly wrong! I make the total 1461.2MB.

Loads of listening pleasure to be had. Like I say, if it's OK under another member's local copyright protection and intellectual property rights laws, and if nobody would be robbing musicians of their income by doing it, I'm holding the folders in my dropbox and would be happy to pass these on.

Damn that remixes, rarityes and instrumentals would be tight. I already own 4 of the other 6.

OMG your avatar winks!
