Luck, or fate, was definitely with me today. I stopped by the Southern Thrift store on the way to my parents' house and headed for the electronics section. Nothing jumped out at me, but closer inspection revealed a Panasonic RX-1250 mono box. It was 100% complete and still had good batteries in it!
As I was admiring the RX-1250, I happened to look at what was behind it. It looked like another small, mono box lying on it's front. I picked it up and - HOLY SHIAT! WTH?
It was a Panasonic RF-2600 mono radio with strap handle and hand-crank tuner. Knobs everywhere! And it has a cool LCD tuner window. I'm not sure if it works, but I'll definitely know when I get home tonight. I'll be needing an antenna for this one. Does anybody have an antenna from a junk donor?
The third box I found was somewhat hidden on the bottom shelf. It's a Sanyo M-9950 - 100% complete!!
It comes with a very cool stereo spatial expander doo-flicky knob on the top. I can't wait to try that. It also has a small crack on the left side at the top, but nothing major.
All three boxes are dirty as all get out. Full Patrons for all them are needed. Pictures will happen tomorrow as I'm still at mom and dad's house.
SUPER YAY!!!
