That's a great site, I used Phil's diagram a few years ago and built my own modulator as 405 line VHF broadcasts were stopped in 1985 here. For newer TVs though, a remodulator isn't needed as current digital boxes are plug & play with
any 625 line UHF set and cost typically from £12 for a simple receiver to £200 for something with a hard drive built in, HD reception and running Mythbuntu for easy communication with a laptop or Ubuntu tablet.
My 405 line modulator is mostly used with my Bush TV22, running again a few year ago after all of its original wax caps - hundreds of the effin' things - had been peeled and repacked with modern polyester ones. That took three months on & off, between jobs that actually paid, and was funded by my selling three spare 405 line CRTs to other owners.
It never ceases to amaze me what lengths human beings go to so they can watch TV the way it looked in the '50s; 405 lines, mono picture, low grade sound and all that on a set that was a really effective source of heat thanks to its huge ceramic dropper.....
