asking if you guys have some problemos
relating your perishables to your tangibles ?

i sure do !!

how to compare funds spent on restaurants, hotels
gas, entertaiment, etc etc -- to our electronic toys

ie -- a tank of gas = $ a good mini box
-----a nite out = SCR-8
--- a vacation = a $$ grail
etc etc etc

this happens so often with us-
like i usually hide my 'silly' buys ( for a while)

but -- today - i received this real nice looking CD player -

and needed to 'test out the chick appeal' right quick

as soon as i showed wifey -
she said (the often said )..... " how much $ did that cost "

i said ...
"less than the sushi we went out for last nite"

which was true

she loves this local hi class $$ sushi place -
knows all the cooks, bosses,waitresses etc

every time we go - its 40 bucks !!! :'-( :'-(
just for friggen cold fish

Every time my wife drags me out with her to the Casino, and she reallly reallly likes to go, I watch as she plays with them bandits. After about 10 minutes or so, I can't help but think silently, "there goes an M70," and then "there goes an M9994," and then there goes a.........

Last week alone I spent $169 on the family groceries. Which made it very easy to justify spending another $50 on a Sharp mono box. Most of that food is now gone. But the Sharp mono lives on, lookin' sweet and playin' tunes. You tell me which was the better buy!

I try to keep it even, I don't spend too much on myself, without my wife getting stuff she wants also (Fancy purses, UGG boots and jewelry)............

But as far as food goes, most of the time its a waste as you just poooooooo it out

Ira-You crack me up!! Yes I do think about this! That's why when I sold my Chevelle I bought a decent Thunderbird & bought $5,000 worth of boomboxes & went on a couple of trips.
This is better than wasting it on gambling,drugs,alcohol(maybe a little but seriously not to much) or out on the town eating exsensive meals-ONLY on vacations do I do that.
So I'm somewhat happy with what I did with 10,000 about 15 months ago when I sold it.
Have lots to show and still have lots of cars-I'm not worried to much but $ has been so super tight lately-no work as of lately!
So I'm glad that I have budgeted to some degree,basically haven't bought 1 boombox this year yet!
But that's about to change-I think I may have another M9998 that needs some parts and for 45.00!
Now with the 2 I'll have something-this one has 2 fully intact antennnas and just needs a battery cover.
Still needs belts but that's it!
Enough about boomboxes-well when work starts again-a grail by late summer of fall.The Camaro is going to take funds when I start working!
