Well.. It's not a M90... but..
By chance I came across this on a local trading post for a great price.
Not sure how rare it is, definitely haven't seen any available in Australia at least.
The guy i bought it off was the original owner who bought it in Hong Kong back in '82.
Overall condition is pretty good.. would defiantly benefit from some TLC,
I do love the m70 in silver.. but this JVC RC-M75 in gold really looks the part imho

Awesome find dude, I was lucky enough to get one as well and only know of one other person with one.......keep keep keep

Local member Dan ‘bought’ that box within seconds of it being listed on Gumtree for the agreed price the seller was after. The seller was going to get straight back to Dan with his payment details........

Dan suspected he’d get sniped but for some reason, he trusted the seller!!   The silly fool!!

Haha there’s my box! Yep I sent James the link when I thought I’d snagged this little golden nugget last Monday....but when the seller was slow in getting back to me with a postage quote after I gave him my address I suspected some sort of a diddling was afoot. Chasing him up I even slipped in a little white lie about how my first ever Boombox was this exact model.....hahaha the lows one will stoop to for a rare unit! Did the seller appear to have a heart of stone denying a man that opportunity?!? But honestly having mailed my share of awkward to package boomboxes I can understand his sly shenanigans and why he sold it locally. Well done there sir, that is a lovely score for a bargain price too! Happy hunting.....and thanks for being a part of the epic disappointment I felt at the stone cold silence the seller gave me 😂. But seriously it’s good to see it go to a fellow mad collector......said no one ever! All jokes aside, that is a damn nice unit there mate......that gold looks so nice, well scored!!

Ah man.. I feel terrible now..
I'm actually interstate from him. He was in SA and I'm in VIC. I called him on the spot and he was very friendly and even had a chat about his past and all.

Wow nice snipe!
The 75 in it's champagne(?) / gold is stunning. It's madness how many M70s are in circulation, and yet these are just a thin sprinkle worldwide.

Great radio and great story! I have mine on my shelf along with it’s brothers and cousins! Great sport for losing out, but we all know how it can happen...definitely keep!! It’s an M70 with pitch adjust!

Wow! Very nice. How many gold variants were there? I just bought an M70GX about a month ago and recently saw a gold M71. Great find!! I’m certainly keeping my eyes peeled now.

Ahh! Did you just buy the GX that was in the for sale section? Good on you, that was a very rare bird and a very fair price! I’d have snatched it up if I’d have seen it in time:)

I have been collecting boomboxes for about 3-4 years and have never come across a large silver box in a thrift or garage sale in all that time. I have hunted everywhere and frequently !

Every box in my collection was purchased at around collector value
