Thanks transistorized ours look alike yours has a silver tray aswell ? Yeah the gold c100 is totally my best show piece and it works great I honestly wonder how many are out there
I also wonder how many were made in the first place

Also I’m Canadian conion wasn’t sold here it was clairtone
So I wonder how the old couple who originally owned it got it

I can say this. For every 1000 Silver models you see 1 Gold one. Elite. Not trying to say that we're special but....it's the dark corner of the room for sure.

Did only certain stores get them
We’re they promotional like raffle or contest
I little seems to be known about them on the internet
I only know of 4 others who have one you are included in the 4

I can tell you this. The Gold C100's were the last of the Japan models. The last stand was the Korean models which had no input level meters and no tape run indicator. Also had lower end cassette components. Silver Japan models kicked things off, Gold followed for the final year, then Korean models wrapped things up
