Just wondering, what is your favorite Boombox to clean in your collection? For me it's the big Tecsonic J1 Jumbo's...I love cleaning all the chrome & black!

Well, since you asked, yesterday I was cleaning the Trident DX-6000 I got, just a light dusting, getting in all the little crevices, but Chrome and Black is VERY satisfying to clean  Almost like cleaning your car! The contrast between chrome and black just can't be beat!

I still love all my silver boxes though! :-D

I enjoy cleaning the Rising SRC-2015. Those chrome handlebars just beg to sparkle in the sunlight. :-D

I like to clean, any box, that doesn`t have controls on the top, like the trk8190, 8800, etc.

No doubt Chris!

I use my car cleaning products on my boxes with great results!

I like to use micro fiber clothes and compressed air is good for blowing out dust, but you have to be careful not to blow dust INTO area;s like behind the tape deck door or into the tuning dial area.

Am I the only one that thinks my car runs better and my radio sounds louder when their clean :dunce:  :-D

I love using 60 grit sandpaper to clean off any dirt or dust :hmmm: ..................  naaa just kidding  I dust my boxes at least twice a week and pull them individually off shelf for thorough cleaning every so often. But my favorite box to clean is usually one of my minty Lasonics. But lately it's been my M90 :-)

Nothing satisfying like cleaning a mint Sharp GF777, especially the chrome speaker rims and knobs. They are made with ultimate perfection!

Most of my latest boomers are black so i love to clean em all. Nothing better to clean black boomers . Damn the dust is visible on them really fast . Actually im cleaning the dark boomers at least three times more than silver . Thats the only downside with them :-P

For me it's any nice big box with a fully removable chassis which you can plug in and overhaul while the cabinet is in the bath soaking or outside drying or letting fresh paint cure... :-) I love cleanin all the pots and re-belting and air dusting a chassis so when it goes back in the box it's like a reconditioned machine!! :w00t:

My favorite boombox to clean is my JVC RC-550 something about wiping down that 10in speaker grill

Since you got two, you should drop one off so OTHERS can experience how great it is!
:agree: and sounds like a lot of job to dust two 10 in grilles
