Ever done a background check on someone?

I want to do a background check on the people who will be providing child care for my son starting next week. So far, it looks like NetDetective.com is a recommended site. Have any of you ever done this kind of thing before???

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Having to hire workers I've done it plenty. Usually, we had them go and get a statement from the police department. It would show all convictions or outstanding warrants/fines from across the country. If they are clean we refunded them the money immediately. There is also a database called USA something(?) that was used as well.

Linda said you can go thru the clerk of courts in your county to see if there are any lawsuits or anything against the company,
