Yes. That's what made me smile. I did give them instructions to pack everything individually. But they wanted to make an unnecessary effort

It would have weighed more being that the box would be bigger and use more material.

Is that handle simply removable?
He could have just removed it and flat packed inside.

The handle probably holds the speakers on and adds strength to the unit from shifting .

Sometimes these packing jobs are trial and error but you can't fault the guy for trying and it made it where it needed to go with no drama.
