Ahoy .....
Just trying to find replacment tweeders for my discolite.

I happened to come upon the unit at the buyback at the dump shop of all places.
Basically someone brought it to the dump to throw it away i assume because it wasnt running that great.
I had no idea what it was but that little "breakdance" logo caught my attention as i grew up in the 80s.
I asked the guy if it worked and he had no idea so i plugged it in and it was running.
He just told me to take it if i wanted it.

Its been sitting in my shed the last few years and i decided it needed some love and now i find myself here.
After opening it up i found some super fine white sand in it ....... i live in cairns near the great barrier reef and so i assume this little gem rocked some great little beach parties in its prime :)

But ........ the tweeders are shot and i cant get the whoofers lights to come on yet.
Tapes run fine.
Also one of the blue switches is broken and also one of the EQ sliders is broken.

Im planing on trying to create some 3d printed parts for the knobs and will post the stl files here if anyone wishes to print them for themselves.

I did see on the forum someone replaced their tweeders with
Sharp GF 9090
4 Ohm
3.2w - 5w
2.0 cm

But i have no idea how to find parts for them.
Cheers

Try cleaning all the connections in the aerial circuit you can lose 3db in signal with every joint. Use fine grade wet and dry sandpaper and apply grease. If that doesn't work you can try the various pots on the tuner board one by one making sure to return to original position if it doesn't help.

You say you made your own Buttons they maybe worth sharing as they are expensive to purchase repo's.
