Question. I see that Sony has a Walkman demo tape but I never got one with the two models of Sony I purchased many years ago, nor my Sanyo.
Were these reserved for certain series ie DD models or ?

I confess to never owning a new Sony boomer Nick. Did all Sony's include a demo tape or just select models?Nickeccles said:In the UK the Sony TPS-L2's had a demo tape - I remember very well listening to said tape in Dixons in early 1980! Usual demo fodder, instrumentation split widely on both channels & mainly just music no vocals! Made for a great stereo experience at the time.....
Good to see you post deech and some lovely tape sthere. Whats up with the tape in the bottom right? Is that a demag tape?
Nice!
Do you happen to have the Sony demo tape with the "Plane flyover stereo pan test" on it?
I will have a look (or maybe a listen) Netsurfer at the sonys demo tapes i got.
Do you have a link on what this recording sounds?
Cheer guys, the airplanes are on the A side of the Sony TPS-L2 demonstration tape. I remember trying to get it on film, but it sounded really bad because of the low quality camera mic auto level crap. So I only did the B side. Link may not be visible for some, youtube told its blocked in japan
Maybe you recognize the Walkman Deech, I thinks its the one you had in Greece for the stereo2go logo
