Decentralized Dance Party in town, anyone gone to one?

Anyone been to one of these yet? I just heard they will be doing their bit this Saturday night in Minneapolis. I remember the original posts from them about trying to get as many boxes as possible for the bit. Of course a lot of us were 'offended' to some degree cause we are thinking how we wouldn't even let some of our boxes out in public much less anywhere a public party. But like mentioned before, the misc Goodwill beater finds are a much better fit for this kinda bit.

I love me a party, I love me some DJs, and of course love some boomboxes. So I think I will have to at least check it out. Of course I'd love to bring out a nice BIG DOG box and all, but then again, I might be a nervous wreak, that and there's no way I could carry a C100 or similar sized box for more than about 50 feet. Maybe I'll bring a couple, so I can have a nice out for some fun and flex it's muscle, but then if we are move around and get after it, I'll grab a rough mid sized Panny or Sharp that I have a few of that aren't anything special too me. Maybe bring some cash just in case someone has a box that I might be able to save from the 'wild'.

Anyways, just seeing if anyone has checked one of these out and how it all was.

Maybe I'll bring the GoPro, strap it on a box for the 'box eye view'.

I'll be there. although you can't really call me a member. I just signed up here to try and dig up some info on some of the boxes I've picked up over the last week that need some repairs. the weather looks like it's going to be great!
