Oh man I had a bad memory in my teens while changing out starter. The FN bolt fell straight into my eye. Couldn't see for hours and bolt put a dent in my eye. It was red for over a week. Sadly to say I learned my lesson by not putting my face under bolt I was screwing or unscrewing anymore

  When I was 16....trying to put the back window in a VW Bug....using a screw driver to pull at the rubber seal over the metal lip...Screw driver slipped and I ALMOST put my eye out.....continued working....then I PUT MY EYE OUT :-O It's never good when you can close your eyes and see light  :nonono: Stitches in the eye lid, still got the scar :w00t:    :dunce:

"Real" cars don't require that. Only cars that are engineered with auto shop students in mind since they figure you need the practice.

Well, then a whole lot has changed. Because my 2500HD can tow more and stop faster, than those old dually's and we "never" need to tighten the lug nuts. At the rate they are saying.... I would have to tighten 32 nuts (4x8) EIGHT friggen times on my upcoming trip. You KNOW that aint happenin.

    Could you imagine....Middle of the desert...500 mile mark....Stoppin' to tighten the lug nuts!

The 308 says it's normal to use up to a quart of oil ever 250 miles :w00t:  Sure....nothing is to good for that car....it just drinks fluids!

Thank God there aint no emmissions in the 308 because at that rate, the cat and O2 sensors and such would long been contaminated. How much does a new cat cost for a modern Ferrari anyhow?

I would just stuff a pair of universal catalytic converters under there. Far as I'm concerned, they are consumable and since you can't see them anyhow, should be fine. They would function just like the originals, maybe even better. Then keep your originals hanging on the workshop wall for sentiments sake, or if you ever want to "show" your car.

And that's just what I did....

California has the strictest emission laws  we have no emission tests at all where we live so cats are not even needed ;-)

Come register you cars here guys. No smog testing and vehicle registration is every two years- and cheaper  You can also tint your front windows too! Still gotta check your lug nuts though
