Anyone here still make mix tapes? One of my favorite reasons I collect boom boxes is to make mix tapes here's a few pics of what I have done

These look sweeeeeet Peter! :yes:

I recently bought this and it makes making mixtapes much easier:

The sound quality is surprisingly good, and the convenience can't be beat.

I've read other poor reviews here about similar devices, but I'm happy with it so far.

Go!

Hmm that looks interesting! I'm going to have to try it out. I'm making some mix tapes right now you want one?

I've got the same model...thought it would be rubbish as it was pretty cheap but actually it's not bad at all...sound quality is perfectly good for a boombox, don't know whether sticking it in a proper hifi would show it up but great for a boomer :-)

I love this thread, and I love trading mixtapes... I have a whole 30-tape case full of misc mixtapes I've traded with members from here, as well as other analog audio forums.

If you want to trade, I have some house tapes, and a rockin' funk/soul mixtape tracklist I would be willing to trade.

Shoot me a PM and we can discuss details if you're interested.

Hey y'all
I also make mixtapes of different kinds of Hip Hop, so far I've made 6:
Going way back (old school)
let the funk flow
return of the B-boy
The new Style (post-2000)
The sonic Boom (electro-funk)
The sonic boom II
The headbanger (90s hits mostly)
How about some hardcore!?

I love your covers and this gives me inspiration to make my own and more mixtapes !

Also would love to see what songs are on your Fresh Produce mixtape :) !
Peace.

Here's one of a mixtape a school friend of mine sent me back in the '90s...

...playing on a Norelco CarryCorder 150 - the first compact cassette recorder/player ever made. Mine was surplus from the Upjohn company, complete with property badge and the in house service number.

I have now aquired two HXPro tape decks so can punch out some tapes of Ambient mix or some early 90 techno. Pm me for swaps or bis.
