Hello all from Wales UK.
I managed to pick this beauty up from my local car boot sale a couple of weeks back.
From what I see on the net it is pretty rare.
I've given it a bit of a clean and straightened the antenna a little.
The crown is complete with no missing parts. The radio works as it should.
The tape player is a little slow or pulses in speed when played.
Can anyone advice on how to fix this please.
Thanks for accepting me to the forum and thanks for reading my post
Wil

First of all, we have to figure out the belt sizes and then our UK members here can be of help where to source it.
While doing the belt replacement it is a good idea to do a full contact cleaning, head cleaning and lubrication as needed.

I went through a belt reference table and was unable to find the belt size of Crown CSC- 945L.
It will be a good idea to measure the old belt size and go with 95% length (circumference) of it. Measure the width of the flat belt also.

I've done the heads, used 100% isopropyl alcohol and a cotton bud. Had a quick look inside while I was cleaning it and there is a lot of dried up brown grease on the mechanism. When I get the belt, I'll give it a thorough clean.
Also, when I bought it there was a tape in it, I will need to go and dig out my own tapes to test just in case the tape itself was dodgy.
