How do you make a rather average box you scroed for 5 euros become bad-ass?
Well, here are the original pictures of it:

Sorry, I don't have any more detailed photos of it before I customized it. it just came over me today so I did it, it did not even take long.
So I took it apart, cleaned what needed to be cleaned and then taped the area on the front case that were supposed to stay the way they are.
So after spraying it looked like this:

It is painted in CHROME and it looks so awesome now! It looks like it is really special. I also built in an internal antenna since I did not have a replacement one so I just put some wire to the contact of the antenna and the reception is perfect now. I also adjusted the tape speed but the belt was still okay :-) .
And after a general clean I assembled it again to have a new "one-of-my-favorites" box :-D

I think it is not too bad for a first custom box

Your opinions wanted

In a couple of those pictures, the lighting makes it appear to be a gun-metal color. Now, that would be nice.

i guess it is a gun-metal color and the pictures don't do it justice. It looks amazing in the sunlight. Just like pure chrome :-)

This model was the first box purchased in the family (in 1981 I believe, was distributed in Brazil by brand CCE) and golden color, like the picture below:

In 1991, I switched riddance (the repentance).

Good memories of that time.
