yep,
after seeing atleast 2 NON-WORKING JVC M60's sell for $300
i tried to get the same price for my WORKING JVC M60 and then lowered the price
gradually and couldn't even get $100 ! or an offer, lol

i got harrassed by one buyer about turnning down their offer system offer
which i actually accepted but they wouldn't communicate and they obviously weren't serious
like some kind of wack game for some reason.
have no idea maybe someone can explain it to me....not that i really care.

so i decided to keep it !since i got the money i needed from other things
and finally got my brand new Stratocaster ! yaaayyy which is why i needed the $

and now especially since it aint worth nothing and it works so well
might as well keep it !

seems that when rich people want something they will pay whatever
and the rest of the time even a good working boombox isn't worth much.
maybe i am not really a "Boombox" person i just happen to have a couple.
or maybe everyone knows who i am or something and have been black listed, haha
just because i get what i can for my cassette tapes or whatever
but not like i haven't tried to offer everyone here a deal for members only.

like i said i don't GiveAF*** but interesting anyway.
won't matter much when this economy finally falls flat
maybe we can eat our boomboxes and tapes !
a big lump of them should make a nice warm fire when
electricity is only available to the super rich
guess we can always farenhiet 451 and generate our own power
to play our boomboxes !
or solar power maybe ? anyone tried solar ?

Later
YA'LLLLLL :)

Still deals to be had... :ebay:

Always will be, just gotta sort through the wheat to find what you want at the price you're willing to pay. ;-)

IMHO it's not a good idea to start your price high and then drop it. It makes you look weak, and like there's something wrong with the box.

sure yep you are right, and here i thought i was doing a reverse auction for all the freakin' watchers waiting for the price to drop
to a point where they didn't want to miss on it. ....but you are right.
oh well its not my loss lol . . . .
i am glad for the buyers who paid $300 for the cassette deck not working ! lol...
what a waste unless you are some repair wizard.
mine has worked flawlessly everytime knock on wood......haha.
yep didn't think of that....maybe if i need something else more than the M60 again
i will start out low and raise the price every other day ....lol.
Rock On !

Why not start it low and just let people bid it up?

If your photos, description, and grammar are good, then the odds are that people will trust you, and you'll eventually get the price you want.

bids and the offer system allow for non-paying bidders and i don't like games so i have it set for immediate payment.
i thought it shouldn't matter much about price since non-working sold for more and mine works.....
no matter, i got my Strat for making more music for boomboxes and so its not for sale now.....for now, haha

here's my advice

-list it as a BIN, with a make offer. set it up and let it ride.

I had a book on ebay for $70 for over a year-thought nobody was ever going to buy it, and to be honest I forgot I had it. Then one day "You have money"
popped up on my email. Cool beans.

Just post it, and have fun with it if/when you decide/do sell it

I have had some boxes for 13 years, and can't bear to part with them. others have been 'grails' that I had my fun with and passed on to others who would enjoy them as much as I did :afro:

some ebay sellers 'shill' bid.
This is one of the reasons prices are so jacked up. A blockbuster back in 2001-2008 would fetch between $20-$129 in good working order. now they are more than double that.
