Wow... Those speakers really dance!!! That's crazy. That thing sound pretty good? Look like woven speakers huh?

Carbon fiber speakers, and the TDK 2 speaker sounds amazing and even better outside. Its was cool to see how much the speakers move and dance to the beat and i had more than a handful of people asking what the hell that radio was!

That last pic with the guy and the garbage cans on his legs. My buddy dressed as mini me from Austin powers for halloween a few years back with that same concept. He won $1000 at one of the local strip clubs for best costume. It was awesome.

Well that was short lived...... The babysitter tipped it over on the floor of my truck. The two knobs were lined up perfectly to smash the front seat floor rails because she moves the seat all the way forward and up.

It turns on but it is stuck in some kind of update mode and the tuner knob and pcb buttons behind it got smashed. The Little led behind the BACK botton doesnt turn off even if the box is switched off.....

Pretty upset about it right now.

Sorry to see that Joe! I bought an "untested" one on Ebay and suprisingly  it didn't work. I may have some of the parts you need if it's fixable.

Manage to just pop out the button pcb. It has a small harness clipped and tethered. Pulling it apart was easy but getting the new pcb clipped to the harness was a pain.

No worries, its all fixed!image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Thanks dudes.

Man I was bummed out.

This is probably the only part you can replace without having to tear the boombox completely apart, so I got very very lucky. There is still a battle wound on the OK/BACK button, but that's ok. Atleast it wasn't a M90 or other rare gem I have..... close one.

Thanks for the parts offer Syleking!

When I first started looking at collecting I was so afraid I would buy something I couldn't fix. But those days are gone. Look at what we are capable of. The fact that your now repairing new blasters just blows my mind.

No worries Joe! BTW is anybody looking for a 24lb paperweight? :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:

Oh man, the highs and lows of Boombox ownership!!
I always worry about relatively narrow bodied boomboxes tipping over when given a nudge. These TDKs do seem pretty fragile beasts - that would be an indoors, bookshelf type of deal for me with all that soft, slick and shiny black plastic just asking to be scratched.

I'd love to hear one - I bet they sound killer!

James.... :-)
