Conion C131

Picked this unusual Conion up on Friday. I’d not even seen an image of it before which is unusual in itself, so I was just wondering how many were out there?

There's been a few of these around although not a huge amount these also come in gold color.

Yeah, that's not one you see too often. I hate that they went with microscopic woofers behind Wimbledon-sized grilles.

Lol haven’t plugged it in yet so don’t know what it sounds like. Yeh those woofers are no where near the size of the grills...usually a bad sign but not always (fingers crossed lol).

I like the look, especially the leds in the speaker rim. Just wondered if anyone had one. I’ve got another day busy with other stuff today so don’t have time to service it and I’m impatient lol

Thta is a cool looking box Si, i hadnt notice the small speaker/large grill thing, be interesting to see how it sounds.

you know the woofers size don't really mean s*** I seen plenty of smaller woofers outperform larger woofers with the same amount of power. Those look like some pretty good long throw woofer so I wouldn't count them out altogether it's the power behind them that makes the difference.

Well still not had chance to do anything with it, had to take my son back to Leeds. It hadn’t been serviced and I was told there was bursts of good bass between the usual crackling so I’m hoping it’s decent. Sometimes you just really like the look of a box and you’re not sure why...that’s how it is with this Conion. I hope it’s sound matches it’s looks

Always liked the LED VU meters on these, so original. Nice example of a rare box.
