I was talking to my buddy earlier in the game. Saying to pull Lester and put in Mike Montgomery. They didnt, but who did they put in to close out the final out of the World Series?

My man, Mike Montgomery. Use to be on my Seattle Mariners earlier this year. Glad to see he got to finish this game out. I wish we'd never traded him.

Nice work Chicago!!! Coming back from 3-1 and winning it in Cleveland. Mighty impressive.

Wish my uncle were still alive as Cubs was his favorite team. He use to take me and my brother all the time to the games in the 70's

Man, for all the fans that came and went and never saw them win. My grandfather was born in Boston, never saw them win in his whole life. He was such a hard core baseball fan and Red Sox fan, but didn't live to see them win.

BBB he is up there with all the Cubs players from the past having their own celebration party and trust me there's nobody up there saying this game was rigged!!! :lol:

I remember as a 15 year old growing up in N.Y.C. people would say when..... and I would say they "suck"!

Yeah,I lived in South Side Chi in the 90's,Michael Jordan days.

Instead of saying "when pigs fly",
folks would say "sure,when the Cubbies win a pennant"!!

Yankees stadium had flags half way around the top,Cubs had like 4 flags next to the scoreboard at Wrigley...glad they won.

Haha. You know I'm right there with you! I didn't know the Rangers and Astros hadn't won one either. I know we're the longest to not be in the playoffs though. I believed we would this year too. Go Mariners!!!

I haven't really followed the Cubs since the days of Sammy Sosa. However, I still consider myself a Cubs fan. I first started watching Cubs games back in 1984, when I would get home from school. This win has been 32 years in the making for me, and much longer for others.

Somewhere, I have a baseball signed by Ryne Sandberg, my favorite Cubbie.
