This is just sad for the LGBT people and I would like to extend my condolences to the patrons of the nightclub Pulse in Orlando.

I feel bad for those who lost their lives and I pray for them and the gunman for his ignorance.

When I was married to my wife Janet her cousin Joldi which he is gay has such a big a heart every Thanksgiving holiday before celebrating with his immediate family he would go to the soup kitchens and collect food to give to the homeless in Miami. This guy never bitched about helping others.

R.I.P.

Well here we go again, another fine representative from the religion of peace. Showing how peaceful and tolerant they are. Radical Muslim terrorists are among us,they have cells in every state in the union and Canada and Ohbummer can only blame law abiding firearm owners.Oh and let's not forget our brothers and sisters in France and United Kingdom. These terrorists need to be eradicated before more innocent victims die.J.M.H.O.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

there sure are tons of evil sub-humans in this world --
and we mostly dont know what they will do -- till its way too late

and --the pro gun lobbys will claim that if just 10% of the 350 folks in that club had carried guns there -
then the shooter would have been stopped sooner

Some more news about another fellow who practices the religion of peace. France, two days ago I believe. A radical Islamofascist has slaughtered a Police chief and his wife!!! And if that wasn't horrific enough he did it in front of their infant child!! Leaving the child an orphan and I'm sure emotionally scarred for life! Of course France also has total gun control. So their citizens are safe, not! Think about that, a chief of Police can't bring his own service pistol home. So no way to defend himself or his family from those who would do him grave bodily harm. And its truly, truly unfortunate that he and his family had to pay the ultimate price. In their own home! For our leaders lack of action in reigning in and destroying these wackos and their 7th century mentality. When are they gonna wake up!!!This is the last one of these reports I'm gonna add on to this thread, hopefully I've woke some of you up to what we are dealing with. I didn't mean to hijack this thread.Firearms and good Conservative folks and even Donald Trump are not the problem! Radical Islam is,and we've got to take the fight to them and stop being so politically correct! People are dying because of it! J.M.H.O.

That's the exact argument that will mean the US will never escape these mass shooting incidences.

Imagine if only 10% of the Pulse patrons was armed. Would you rather have 1 shooter or 101 shooters in that club? Hand guns are inaccurate - many people who own guns don't know how to shoot!

Fewer armed nut cases means fewer gun related deaths. Any nutter can go to a US gun show and get any gun he/she can afford and no background checks - what a joke!

Personally I feel this was more a case of mentally ill idiot, rather than Islamofacism. The guy had been going to that club for about 3 years!!

And as far as him supposedly pledging allegiance to ISIS? Funny how the recording of that 911 call hasn't been released.

Even if he did pledge to ISIS, he didn't know jack about them, and ISIS didn't know jack about him.

It doesn't matter what we do, of someone wants to hurt someone, they're going to try. We can make getting guns/weapons harder to get, and it might help the little stuff. But the mass shootings, these are very pre-meditated. Those people are going to find a way to do it no matter what, black market guns, homemade bombs, whatever.

Making weapons easier to get??? I don't see why. If they're easier to get then they still need to be followed with required training, followed by revoked licenses if training is not complete.

I personally think psych evaluations should be completed along with required training AFTER the psych eval.

I'm not against owning a gun at all, but I'm also not for letting people get them on a whim.

I am however against fully automatic and even semi-automatic if it's bigger than a pistol.

Well JimmyJimmy,I don't share your misguided opinion. Also as far as your math goes. Your way off too. There were approximately 350 to 400 in the club. So using your expert opinion of the "gun lobby" and the 10% estimation. Would have meant 35 to 40 lawfully licensed concealed carry permit holders.Who all would be properly trained, otherwise you can't get your permit in the first place. So out of that 35 to 40 properly trained individuals not 101. Realistically only about 2 or 3 of them would have the testicular fortitude to confront a radical terrorist. So yes in reality it would most likely have made a difference. As it has in many cases already in the U.S. All you need is one or two sheep dogs to keep away the wolf, or in your case the Dingo.G'day mate.

There was a shooting in Texas in the 90's, some dude was angry at women and minorities, killed at least 25 people in a restaurant. One of the survivors, a woman, said she felt regret that she couldn't get to her gun (which was in her car). She told her story, and Texas decided to make concealed carry permits a lot easier to get. It's just interesting because I thought Texas was always like that, but they weren't.
