Christmas party with VZ 2000

my last day at work today, so decided to have a 80's day, took my mint VZ 2000 in with a ton of 80's records, ran the unit for at least 6 hours, everyone thought it was great.......the VZ is actually older than two of the employees in our department...

awesome day......loved every min.......just shows a 27 year old boom box can still party........

no pictures sorry, our company cameras battery was flat and someone has mislaid the charger.....

but i was surprised how well it went down with people, all they did was comment on the sound quality......

Walking in with that MONSTER must have just blown minds!

Knowing your story and how you refurbished all three of your VZ's and the hard road to keep them in the living room....I know that was a great VZ accomplishment. That's something to be proud of

I carried the records in a plastic bag!!!!! they didnt see me bring the VZ in as i went in early, but you should have seen their faces.....all i got was ' god kev, thats a big un!!!!!

I work at the local college, and when i walked out with it at 3pm, the amount of "oh my god, what it is?.......the guys even put it up on my shoulder, i nearly keeled over

I must admit, some records sound a bit monotone, but others sound brilliant. I would say all the fun of it, is having to get up and change the records, rather than listen to 10000000 tracks on a ipod.

I have one specific track on my ipod as well as on vinyl and the vinyl sounds amazing, the ipod sound is rubbish.

One of our main managers came in and stayed most of the day listening to my 80's music, he was bowled over with the VZ

Our 80's day went down very well, even to the 2 youngest people (VZ is older) were gobsmacked with the quality...

That is just bitchen! It is always so much fun to blow people away with something they have never seen.

What a great story. Anytime you can create an atmosphere where is makes people smile, then you have done good in this world. Boomboxes still do it....and you proved...the bigger the box, the more smiles!

vz's are awesome boxes these get quite loud enough to get the job done and then some .

the massive vz 's are among my favorite boxes of all time . i have seen first hand the reaction of people to the vz it's priceless .
