The pic in that auction was shown in this thread:

viewtopic.php?f=16&t=10865

Unless, Chris shared the link to the hi-res images with the entire world, there's a good chance that the eBay seller is a member here.

That does s-ck!! Hey Bobby, I know that all my pics that I've used on eBay, here or anywhere else can be found under google search. Is it possible to post pics without this from happening?

the perennial problem of internet, you never know where the hell are going to for your photos
also seeking remuneration for the work of another, fully depreciable
expect at least not a member of this forum :hmmm:

:annoyed: I think that if you are the person that has taken the picture then you own the rights/copyrights to it - but you may have to check into it

but there is a case for suing them and claiming a % of all sales or closing them down

if they don't own the picture, then they don't own the rights to sell the image :annoyed:

Thanks for the heads up guys....

I will say this....If someone wants to print my pictures I have no problem, but not for profit. I don't feel it's cool to use someone else's photography to make money for themselves.

To start, I sent this message to the seller, via my eBay account. After this, I will pursue eBay if it's not removed.

"I am the owner and photographer of the pictures you are selling and I will kindly ask you to remove your auction before I contact eBay to have it removed. You obviously took this picture from the one and only place I posted it, on my http://www.Boomboxery.com account. I do not give you permission to sell it. - Chris"

I have had to deal with this before.

Thanks again....Max....Your on it bro!

There was a time when Google couldn't cache images from Boomboxery. After doing a little bit of investigating, I have made additional updates to help eliminate the problem in the future.

I was just doing my regular eBay browing search for "Boombox" and recognized the photo ;-) .
Still, I am shocked that someone is trying to make money like this :annoyed: . They probably thought you would never find out
But the Boomboxery Brotherhood is EVERYWHERE :dunce: :dunce:

I think this is cool as hell (not that some one is stealing my photos) that I have a friend on the other side of the planet the cared enough to let me know!

THAT'S BAD ASS! Thanks man!

Hey Chris I was able to google and found your pics so possibly this is not a member...

Yeah, I figured as much. I have, in the past found pictures by searching google that were linked to Boomboxery or S2G

Keeping google out is like fighting off hungry lions at the door. They will find a crack in the armor and then BANG their in!

Again, I don't mind people searching google to find this stuff. Truth be know, when I first started remembering my good times with my radio, I went on google and searched the internet and found Monolithic's AMAZING pictures. They looked like someone took them to a photo studio and paid big bucks to have them shot. I actually printed about 10 of them and put them on my wall as a way to focus towards the dream of maybe owning one some day.

So, I think it's good for people to be able to find great pictures of boomboxes, but I guess it's time to water mark them, which I HATE!

I can't imagine how many other rip-offs this guy sold in the past. Jerk probably doesn't even own a camera. I think our friends from across the pond should go pay this guy a visit.
:ninja: :freddy: :jason:
(I am glad that I did finally get to use these Smilies.)

Being that Boomboxery is locked out to guests, I never knew how cool it was!
Just thought the other boombox website was adequate enough... until searching Ghettoblaster images on Google, that I found a pic of a "long-bearded heavy metal dude" holding up a box on each shoulder (one being a TRC-920)..
My people, I thought.. and had to sign up! This is where I belong... Thanks, Lasonic TRC-920

The seller has modified the auction to another piece of art, but the listing on his "Store" front still shows it, though if you click on it, it points towards the replacement art.

Thanks again Max

There is no doubt in my mind that every picture in his store is stolen :nonono:
