well I don't know much about corvette's   but i do like the restyleing....very different just as on the c6.. had to get use to the non flip up lights...now gonna have to get use to the rear taillights :hmmm: :hmmm: ..love it in red ..but my concerns are the new engine features...direct injection is proven alrready by gm as well as the varible valve timming...what really scares me is cylinder deactivation :huh:like to see all the t.s.b's after this one is in the real world.as for now I'll stick with c6

Personally, I like the Vette in the Transformer movies better, but I will never turn down ANY Corvette. The new Stingray is pretty cool. If prices come back around on the Ferrari 308's in the next 10 years I may sell my car and look for a new Vette.

I prefer C5.....I like pop-up lights, they give you a frame of reference to use when looking out the windshield. Which helps you place the car. So many cars these days don't allow you to see where the front end is.

The new Corvette it's not a muscle car anymore,it's a supercar.I'll miss the old flavour of this automotive icon.

My top 3 Vettes:

1. 1967 C2 Stingray L71
2. 1969 C3 Stingray L88
3. 1988 C4 Callaway Sledgehammer Corvette

this new job is overstyled and trying too hard
:agree: . My favorite body style is the '69 Stingray (ragtop). Add a 454, stick shift & side pipes and...Hot Dog!!!! I loved black ones in 'Rush Hour' & L.L. Cool J's. Going back to Cali' music video.

I kinda gotta agree with you...

It's a great looking concept car, but it does look a bit too "Batmobile~ish" for day to day driving...

Goods good..... kinda has some Ferrari 550 lines in it.
The quad exhaust is silly, though.

A boss I had in the late 80s had a Stingray with a fully worked 454 big block with a race cam etc. Man, that thing was scary fast. :-O It's probably the fastest thing I've ever driven!! It had so much torque, it was crazy. The most amazing thing though is that it would also rev real hard with a huge jump in power/torque hitting around 4500 rpm that didn't relent until you hit redline. It also had the heaviest clutch I've ever used and was an absolute pig around town with that close ratio box with a super tall 1st gear. :annoyed:

Kind of reminds me of my old 1974 XB Ford Falcon hardtop, 351 Cleveland 4v heads, toploader and limited slip nine inch, 4 wheel discs with rack & pinion power steering conversion!! . Now that was a great car!! It had to go though as the fuel bill was punishing!! It could spin those 10 inch wide rear wheels at 80kmh in 4th gear!!

Good memories for sure!!

James.... :-)

Sadly, the 550, Viper and Vette are all starting to look the same too me :-/ They have all shrink wrapped the body work around the front engine rear wheel drive lay out and this is the most efficient shape.

There is only one super car that is even turning my head an that's the New Pagani Huayra
