Simple question. Do any of you use your radios in the rain, and if so, how do you go about doing it, without ruining the radio?

If not, well, I know why not, probably fear of ruining the radio.

Reason I ask is also simple. I live in Washington, where we have entered our 6 month rain season. I love using my boomers but have yet to do so in the rain. Looking for different solutions, if there are any.

I know in general, electronics+water=disaster.

I'm just down the coast in the Redwood forest in Humboldt,California. It's wet.
This ugly thing holds up in drizzle. Also, beach sand. Weak spot is the antenna hole.Loud enough, but not a real thumper.Easy to clean,it was covered in plaster when I found it for $5.

I'm talking more like, walking around with it. I suppose if you had an umbrella, and a shoulder strap on the radio.

Yes,I've done it all!
I use a big plastic pillow bag or large department store bag over the Boombox.usyally mid size like Sharp GF-8989II. Just let it vent once in a while for the music to escape. Yes works even in heavy downpours!! Oh yes & Ira approved!!😎😎🎼📟📻🎃🕊🐚
