Just discovered these exist and am intrigued.. can someone provide some info on the quality of these, and anyplace to buy one besides good ol EBay? Thanks

I have a soft spot for the turntable boomboxes and have a few.
I have a JVC DC7 and DC33 these are the detachable speaker type. I think the sound quality is great and they are loud. The turntables themselves are pretty basic but work well and easy to work on from a restoration point of view.
I also have a couple of Sharp VZ2000s, probably the largest box around. They are much more complex to work on have vertical turntable system that can play both sides of the record without turning it around. So this can have a lot of issues. I am still restoring mine so haven’t heard it play yet but apparently they sound good.The Sharps are quite popular and rare, there is also the Sharp VZ2500 which is similar to the VZ2000
Turntable boomboxes are not the most practical in the world as they are not really the type you are going to put on your shoulder and walk around. They are more of a novelty or an alternative option to a music centre.
Panasonic also make a couple. The SG500 and SG550. They are more compact boomboxes. I don’t know what they are like but they look a bit more plastics than some of the others.
I’m not aware of any other brands with turntables but someone on here might know of some more. As you say Ebay is the most obvious choice. Most of mine have come from there. I tend to keep a regular watch out for ones that come up for the right price but I tend to look for restoration projects than perfect examples. You will hear stories of the charity shop or market stall finds but these are very rare (I’ve never been lucky enough to find one
