saw some posts from a couple years back talking about maybe somehow hooking up a digital converter box to the old analog boombox tv's, or somehow modifying them with new lcd screens but didn't see if anyone ever got one to work? I'm curious since that time have any of boomboxerys mad scientists figured out a way to get a digital signal to play on the boombox tv's :hmmm: :hmmm: I don't have one... yet   but I think that would be sick if you could watch tv on one too.

Since the demise of broadcast TV, these have just fallen off the planet....it's really a shame....I have a few TV radio's and more portable TV's...

Another relic that man created for the sole purpose of trying to get CHICKS!

Lets be real., who needs to walk around with a TV Blaster? The only dudes that bought these new were showing off    and trying to get some girls attention!

Yep, we are a smart gender aren't we  . Although once in a while one of us does it the right way -> I have a coworker who used to be a beauty supply salesman and the stories I've heard

There was a guy who mounted an LCD in his, I forgot who it was.

Me personally I don't care about digital stuff, I think it'd be cooler to leave the old tube screen as is, and input a show from a VCR or DVD player. Do any of those boxes have some kind of video input, like an old-school coaxial input?

Mine has the UHF screw terminals which I connected a coaxial adapter with the Y-adapter spades under the terminals..
I then connected the coax to a VCR and RCAs into my DVD player.. was watching movies on the lil 2" B&W screen!

Kick Arse! And you got the era correct movie going too

I would love to do one of those big JVC's with the TV in it, convert it over to LCD with a digital receiver converter box built in running on batteries!

Then you could cruise down the street running some High Definition...That is sure to get the chicks :w00t:     :-D

That's exactly what I want to do......except use a modern movie so people are like "how the hell did you get that on there?"
