This is my new arrival. I've always wanted one of these as I've had a coupe of
Kasuga's without the 'bolts'.
This General SRC 9000 which has the black speakers came to me from Australia in fair condition and complete. This had a pretty good cabinet albeit with a few paint spots. All the chrome knobs, buttons, dials were severely pitted. The speakers and grille were a bit tired.

The two Kasuga boxes I have only cost me pennies and both have issues. So I pillaged the tweeter grilles, tape guard, all the knobs,dials and toggle switches.

Box has been cleaned inside and out, tweeters, drivers, and driver grilles repainted.
The pitted handle has been swapped. And aerials and glass polished.
I'd like to swap the cassette keys but it looks tricky and there's a little life left in the deck!

I didn't clean the knobs I swapped them. The keys are still pitted but washed/ polished the green off.

Congratulations. These Bolt boxes are real lookers, and fun to bring outside. Mine is badged as BROWNI, by Kasuga. Never heard of any other BROWNI badged models. I had to get out the old Sharpie to color the woofers black again.

Dans NIB Bolt Box has flat black grills.

For that General model the correct colour is black. It was that colour when it was delivered to me albeit faded and dirty.
