Woops, I guess the black version is actually the M9977 Holly has the black 9977 . Has seperated VU windows, the cassette keys are oval instead of rectangles, and the cassette door trim is angled....

And here is another version, the Sanyo M4500K which has a black top, silver face, and oval keys:

It looks like a box that deserves some LEDs in the VU window . But the size/sound don't do justice to those HUGE VU's! .


I'm going to try to upgrade the speakers and see what happens .

if youre gonna paint it....you should paint the VU backgrounds...if you dont wanna do LEDs.
Some color behind the needles would make the VUs more noticeable....or maybe just thicken the level lines
