Best method for removing Boombox Speaker Grills

Just acquired a Realistic SCR-8 and someone painted the speaker grills white.
Would like to remove the grills without damaging the plastic.

It hard to remove without damaging. Try removing the speaker and place a hole heap of rags in there and repaint the grills in position.
