you know what.....
it would be cool if someone decided to build a radio that size today..... as good as it could possibly be built.
with a more powerful amp circuit and better reception.
i mean i am pretty sure that technology must be better now than it was then.
old radios are cool.

i remember having a transistor radio long before i owned a boom box so you can see how after having a small pocket sized radio a massive ghetto blaster was an insanely cool thing to behold , i must say i like those little radio's they are great for carrying along when a big blaster is not an option.

the earliest radio I remember having was one my dad had, one of those ones with the vinyl case, don't remember any more of the details of it.

Yes Ira, I know that those were good and pretty much lightly days for living. :-)

I remember that one of those radios (in horizontal form) was used by my grandfather, and it was in silver glossy finish with leather holster. :yes:

(About a chicks, really were fatter, but then we did not know how it will looks today's women, so...., they were beautiful in that time nevertheless ;-) ).

Bought such MW-only unit in the 80s for listening in the scool.
They were still sold till the end 80s.

Hi Ira-I remember back in the 60's having my GE Transistor Radio!! it was black and I have 2 of them now I bought off of e-bay.
They're excellent little radios!
Heck I even remember the kind of battery I had back in there-it had like a half moon on-trying to remember the brand but I remember listening to it in my bedroonm at night!
