8.0 magnitude is what our West coast news people are saying. Im glad in 50 miles in from the coast, with cascade mountains between me and the beach.

We already had a Japanese boat dock wash ashore on our beach from their earthquake.

The quake was 1600 miles away. Unlikely to feel anything in AU.

Yeah, it was in the Solomon Islands. The "tsunami" was only about a meter high.

Even if theres a rare chance we get a tiny quake in Melbourne i normally don't feel it anyway. i'm glad i don't live in a quake/tsunami/tornado every other kind of natural disaster you can think of area, makes it nice and predictable down here!
