A couple of years ago I had a gold mine.
A Thrift store that not a lot of hipsters knew about, and was pretty ignorant to the value of a classic radio.
Located in an area that, in the 80s was booming with beat boxes.
As of late they stopped carrying electronics that much. College dorms have been built across the street.
I found a new one though and the pickings are plentiful once again.
Not plentiful like a flea in Austria but still interesting.

I looked at the TV box but it's not really made to carry any where.
It's nice to look at but my shelves are crowded as it is. I have to be discerning.

Happy hunting, it's a blast to find boxes on the shelf even when they aren't what we're looking for.
So did you grab either box?

I've noticed a bit of a increase in retro electronics on the shelves up here to. I think because we stopped shopping in thrifts as much they may be reconsidering thier relationships with the recyclers....

Grab dat mini maaan!!! :w00t:

Yeah, I can't grab up everything at a Thrift anymore just because it's a classic boombox.
I used to do that in 2008.
I'm running out of room on my shelves.
I'm sure the person who found that mini will enjoy it, it just wasn't my bag. :-/

Thanks for the feedback,

Perhaps you're right. :hmmm:
It's tricky to know what might sell on Ebay these days.
When ever I see a GE super radio though, I grab it and put it up.
GE super Radio always sells.

I've found a couple of ''vintage'' rack stereo pieces, but no nice boomboxes. I'm still hoping. I would love to walk in a see some like those.
