As a kid, who did your local weather?

When I was a kid growing up in Los Angeles there was one man we watched every night for the weather....

Dr. George Fishbeck. He was "The Man".

He even came to our school to teach how the weather worked!

I grew up watching WLAC (later WTVF) Channel 5 and WSM (later WSMV) Channel 4. Channel 5 had Ron Kaiser and, later, Ron Howes, who is still doing weather there.

Channel 4 had the Weatherman of All Weathermen, Bill Hall. He was, and still is, a legend here in Tennessee. Many Tennessee tears were shed when he passed away December 23, 2011.

Channel 4 also had a gentleman named George Goldfrapp who did the weather on a few occasions. At the end of every forecast he would catch his chalk in his coat pocket. I never saw him drop it.

OMG! Chris, I remember watching Eyewitness News when I was a kid growing up in Pomona (1970s). I distinctly remember that White haired News anchor guy (I forgot his name). Wow, does that bring back alot of childhood memories now.
