From what I hear it's a mixed bag...mostly negative. Everyone I know who has tried it either went to Vonage or Skype.

They work okay but are limited, I probably wouldn't use one as my regular phone. For some long distance only it's a cheap and useable option. Sound quality is variable and if you are accessing the internet via a sattelite it won't work right, this is a known problem.
