Hello Ladies and Gents,

When I hear people talking about listening to their vintage bbx's, they are usually listening to RUN DMC, Public Enemy, Granmaster Flash, Kurtis Blow, and a lot of the old school rappers from the 80's, etc. And I would have to say that this is some of the best sounding music out of a blaster, kind of like they were meant for each other. However, I can't listen to rap all day, as I would go nuts and probably throw my Panasonic...

I made a cool Industrial Metal tape a few nights ago with music from the 1980's onward, primarily so I could have some good workout music when I exercise. I usually take the iPod out when I go riding, etc, but the boombox has a very important rolw when weightlifting or stomach crunches..

Here is the mix tape I made, hopefully I will find some heavy music enthusiasts among the flock:

1: NWO- Ministry
2: A Drug Against War- KMFDM
3: Jesus Built My Hotrod- Ministry
4: I Hate U- NoiseBox
5: Dive Right jab- Swamp Terrorists
6: Meat Defeat- Psychopomps
7: Just One Fix- Ministry
8: Virus- KMFDM
9: Son of a Gun- KMFDM
10: RocThatBeat- NoiseBox
11: Hot Stuff- Slick Idiot
12: Lazy- Slick Idiot
13: Search and Destroy- KMFDM

Not shabby eh? Now if I had one of those metal reel taps, this would be cool :)

i like industrial music. in fact some people in canada think of me as a industrial music artist.
well more than a few .
i like metal but i am not a big fan of numetal or black metal.
i mean i can respect those two genres but they tend to make me feel a bit sleepy.

There were a lot of industrial sounds I liked but I could never stand the anguished vocals.I also like some metal guitar but again the vocals are a problem for me.For the most part I like people to sing with their natural voice. There were elements of both used in other types of music which I liked.Of course I'm also a big fan of instrumental stuff.

Interestingly my first exposure to a proper blaster was listening to metal while doing night stock at a grocery store. The big 1 piece K.T.O. they had put out lots of lo-fi "in your face" mids, shrieking highs and was insanely loud :w00t: ! Nobody makes boxes like that anymore :-/ .IMO some of those off brand type of boxes I so love were made for heavy metal !Though not a fan of it as a whole, metal was an integral part of my initial experience and fascination with blasters.

You wouldn't happen to be in an established electronic-industrial type band that has been around for some time have you, since, say 1985 or 1986 maybe? When I hear Canada, Industrial, and the name Bill, I think of Bill Leeb from Front Line Assembly...that would be so cool if my detective skills proved me right for once :)
