my better halfs sister.
i mean shes one of these people with a ton of cash who likes to cry the blues about how poor she is.
well so shes over last night for a bit and asks why we have these big old gas guzzler cars.
normally i could almost understand if someone was driving a econobox,but she drives a freaking escalade.
so to prove my point i showed her the epa site the one that shows my old gas guzzler gets 23mpg on the freeway and her escalade between 12-15 mpg on the freeway.
her response thats the internet someone could just be making that up.
damn how can someone be so stupid. its very odd how people are programmed to hate things that are old.
they can keep on hating and i am fine living a couple generations behind.

I'm not 100% sure about this, but aren't you charged a gas guzzler tax when buying a brand new Escalade?

Vintage, baby, Vintage!!!! Nowadays, I'm driving an 85 Benz 190e that gets about 25 mpg on the highway. Back when gas was about $1 per gallon I owned a ''72 Merc 280SE with the 4.5 liter V-8. That thing got about 10 MPG. Couldn't imagine driving that car now!

(There's nothing like the satisfaction of driving a car that you don't make payments on...)

yes you are correct i mean i dont really know how people think they can buy there way to happiness or even better yet think that by purchasing expensive items it will improve your status.
i mean people who think wealth is somehow going to win them favour with the creator are insane and yes she is freaking looped.
