Hi, I can get this one for 50$. I'd like your opinion, is it worth that sum, how does it perform soundwise as I intend to use cassette, line-in and FM radio for daily use at workplace. Also can a mic be used over the line-in playback? Sound quality is quite important here. Thanks

I have one of these, I really like it and it tends to be used often as my daily box. The sound quality is good, it goes loud and has the DSL button which fills in the bass, this has to be switched off at higher volumes though.

I think it appeals to me so much as it has a great tape deck with nice soft touch operation, good sound and volume, a proper line in and lasts for ages on batteries. It's no M70 in the sound department though, for what it is, a mid size box, it sounds good though. It has no seperate bass and treble controls, just a tone and the lovely DSL button. I have had 2, paid £20-£30 for them so $50 sounds about right I guess.

Hey T-STER thanks for your review,
What about MIC-in connection - does it have one? Can it be mixed on Line-in music?

OK got it.
FF and RW seem OK without cassette inserted, but not moving with cassette - so may need your help with the belts sizes.
(some cassettes do run FF/RW better but still kinda sluggish..)

Yeah these usually need a belt replacement plus a clean and lube. Not too hard to do though and worth it as the decks are pretty good.
