This is a pickup from Tuesday, I was driving to Ankara for work and happened upon this beauty in the local ads.

I sold my last one years ago and regretted it ever since, one of my favourite boxes of all time, not just in looks but with sound as well, I was blown away again by how good it sounds.

Needs a clean and deoxit, plus it's missing a knob and a bit off the antenna is missing (if anyone can help).

A keeper this time.20211001_201905.jpg

Nice find.
I`ve never noticed that many Goldstar boomboxes on sale here in the U.K but have seen many of their old VCR players etc.
Yours looks very classy, presumably from the late `70s/early `80s with the twin VU and the smart metal fascia ..hope you can get it back to full health.

i used to have one these are a very nice and good sounding unit.
same here not a bad box, it used to be called the poor mans m90 but i would put that on the crown 970 as it sounds better imho but yea the tsr 800 is a great box

only thing it's missing is a large volume knob otherwise great

if you look at this box it's almost exactly like the TRC 931.
