Criminal. Straight Criminal!

How well does the EQ work? A 10-band EQ, would be awfully fun to play with..

It looks like this was someone's pride and joy, I can imagine the sadness of the original owner when having to part with it but.......................it's now a Great Score for Northerner! Nice one, good catch.

LaSonic's have some of the smoothest operating sliders of any manufacturer. I wish all Boombox eqs were as good as lasonic. Also lasonic never use those cheap flimsy double eq sliders. dollar-for-dollar no other company gave you as much for the money as LaSonic. Also lasonic hung in there making these boxes as long as they could while after other companies gave up and started making eggs.

Very true. Lasonic really did lead the field with their real deal street box look and beefy performance.
The Lasonic stylists really nailed the styling cues every time. :-)

I love their use of colour...so much more than most boxes. And the gloss black just looks awesome. Totally different to the sophisticated hifi look some manufacturers went for. Just bold and brash...it is what it is :-)

I couldn't agree more. The 931 is what started my obsession with boomboxes, and I just never outgrew the urge to keep collecting them.

This 975 is a thing of beauty. Great find!

It is indeed a super purdy beast...just trying the find the missing button. Dave (dr der) is having a look in his parts pile for me :-)

I love the Spacey graphics on these boxes they remind me arcade video games back in the 80s. At the end of the day laSonics are fun boomboxes that just scream excitement.

Iconic boombox. Late 1980s. Lasonic's unique design . Whats not to like in this one?
Great save Northerner.

Only issue with it is that the deck motor is jammed solid, couldn’t even get it to turn removed from the deck and with pliers on the spindle! Just jammed solid. But good old Chris has a replacement motor for me and it’s already on its way to me :-)
