Bit of forked toungue bs with that auction. Take a close look at the photos and watch as stripes magically appear and disappear .

You can easily tell the first image is a Photoshop rendition of what it was supposed to look like. The other pictures show the crappy painting job. It looks like someone's 100-year-old grandmother painted the stripes. :thumbsdown:

If painting old boomboxes actually increased their value 5 to 20 times I think you'd see a different boomer market than we have.

An ipod only box............. seems more like a joke although I know it's not. take an old boomer, with bad tuner, dead deck, give it a paint job and now it's worth 70x's it's original price? :dunce: :dunce: :dunce:
